Tunnel Bus To Wrestlemania At Ford Field
Transit Windsor will send buses to Ford Field early for Wrestlemania on Sunday, April 1, 2007 in anticipation of the large crowds expected to attend this event.
Buses direct to Ford Field, will leave the downtown bus terminal beginning at 2:00 p.m., and depart based on demand up until 30 minutes prior to event start time. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the ‘rumble', is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Buses begin returning to Windsor immediately after, and up to a maximum of 60 minutes past the event conclusion.
U.S. Customs & Border Protection requires passengers to provide proof of citizenship with the following acceptable identification:
• Valid passport, or
• A birth certificate or certificate of citizenship or naturalization (original or certified copy), as well as a government issued photo ID such as driver's licence
The exact fare is $3.50 each way. 'Special Event' bus tickets will be sold at the downtown bus terminal starting at 2:00 p.m. the day of the show, or may be purchased in advance at the following transit sales outlets: Transit Centre, Transit Downtown, Customer Care Centres, or the downtown Shoppers Drug Mart. The downtown bus terminal is located at 44 University Street East.
Passengers are asked to travel early and expect some delays as a large number of people are expected to attend this event. Taking the regular tunnel bus and using the Detroit People Mover is an option for anyone wishing to travel earlier than 2:00 p.m.
